What changes a towing quote

These are the factors a quote is built from. Each one is something you can tell us up front.

Pickup and destination
The exact pickup point and drop-off address. The distance and route between them matter.
Vehicle
Make, model and size, plus any lowering, modifications or load on board.
Condition
Whether it starts, rolls, steers and brakes. A vehicle that will not roll can take more work to load.
Access
Underground car parks, height limits, narrow driveways, gates, slopes or soft ground at either end.
Timing
Whether it needs moving now or can be planned for a set time.
Special handling
Anything unusual, such as a motorcycle, a very low car or a damaged vehicle.

We do not publish set prices or averages. Figures you see elsewhere, including regulated accident-towing fees, are not TP Towing’s rates.

    Pickup and destination, make and model, condition, and any access limits.

  2. Call or send an enquiry

    Phone for anything urgent. For a planned move, an enquiry with the details works too.

  3. We assess the job

    We check whether we can take it and work out the quote for that pickup, vehicle and destination.

  4. You accept or decline

    The quote applies to that job only. Nothing is booked until you accept and we confirm by phone.

Towing quote questions

Mainly the pickup and destination, the vehicle and its condition, access at both ends, and timing. The more exact the details, the more accurate the quote.

Ask before you accept. Useful questions: does the quote cover the whole trip to the destination, would waiting time or storage be charged, and how is GST shown? Also ask what happens if the job differs from what was described.

No. In Victoria, accident towing is regulated separately, and published accident-towing fees apply to that work only. A breakdown tow is quoted for the specific job. TP Towing does not offer accident-scene towing through this website.
